The Second Annual Diagonal Lawn Bowling Tournament was held at the Santa Monica Lawn Bowls Club on April 20, 2008.  It was a big success enjoyed by all the participants.  A lot of lawn bowlers showed up for the event, including bowlers from neighboring clubs. The Diagonal tournament is very difficult since the jack can be placed a very short distance or the full diagonal length of the green. 

First place went to Todd Werner and Bob Radcliff (of Pasadena LBC).  They showed that they possess a great deal of skill to have been able to succeed under these unique circumstances.  Second place went to Brian Studwell and Noreen Wilkie , and third place was won by Amo Garcia and Emma Schmole.   All the winners deserve to be congratulated.  Thanks also to Bill Wolff, Tournament Director, for organizing a great day, and making sure there was lots of good food and drink available for all.
